I don't know about you but I am an avid Craftsy member and now so excitedly an affiliate! If you purchase a class by going to Craftsy through clicking the link above the post, I am obliged to compensated....I have about 60 classes that I have purchased and probably 90 in my wish list that I have yet to buy and when these sales come around (you've gotta be sharp to catch them) I get as many as my bank account will allow! (Provided my husband doesn't find out!) well, that's not entirely true...my husband knows full well that I am self-taught and doesn't begrudge me buying classes online to better my skills but when sales like this come along I have had a tendency in the past to freak out and break the bank....and then he's not quite so supportive, if you know what I mean....

Anywhoooo....I am so happy to be able to share this with you today! All of the classes are EXCELLENT taught by inspiring cake decorating teachers from all over the world and there are even FREE classes that you can sign up for! The sale starts today and ends on Christmas Day so don't wait! Buy some for you and gift some to some friends (you know, those people near and dear that you can never think what to get them?) well think no more! Craftsy has classes for pretty much every kind of craft or hobby for every kind of person!

I'm a caker by trade but I've taken the various different styles of cooking classes, photography, art, even sewing with so many ideas to help me be a better caker, here a just a couple of cakes I've made using the Craftsy classes and platform.
I was sooooo excited that this cake was featured in Cake Central Magazine and I made the cage using a Royal icing Overpiping technique that has been around for eons but I was fortunate enough to learn it in my very first Craftsy class Vintage Cakes Modern Methods taught by Caking Icon Colette Peters. Colette's teaching style was so easy to follow that with a few practice runs I turned out this cake!
For this cake I learned to make these swags that while they look menacing were made so easily with the techniques taught by the Master Caker Marina Sousa in her Jeweled Wedding Cake class. Marina's classes make you feel like you're actually in her own kitchen doing her thing while she chats on with you, not watching her on a screen from a studio. I can't say enough about Craftsy and how much I love all of the classes I've already taken and how I look forward to the 90+ classes I have yet to take! So just click on the banner above this post and get your Craftsy on NOW!!!
